The City of Long Beach chose to use the Giken Silent Piler due to the close proximity of multi-million dollar houses. The agency was looking to reduce noise and eliminate vibration due to sensitive existing structures. The existing walls were failing therefore they decided to install coated sheet pile for the new flood wall. The general contractor poured a concrete cap on top of the sheets for a permanent solution.
